His Eminence '''Joseph (Harkiolakis)''' is the former [[Metropolitan ]] of New Zealand, and served between 2003 and August 2005.
==Auxillary Bishop==
He was consecrated on the [[December 3|3rd of December]], 1989, and served the [[Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia]] as the auxillary [[auxiliary bishop ]] (of Arianzos). His longest term was in Adelaide, guiding the Third Archdiocesan District of South Australia and the Northern Territory. After this, he was moved to Melbourne as the second auxillary auxiliary bishop, resposible responsible for the Second Archdiocesan District of Victoria and Tasmania.

Soon after, he was elected Metropolitan of New Zealand, against the wishes of the [[Archbishop ]] of Australia. He served in New Zealand between 2003-2005; however, according to the Society of Hellenes Abroad, he resigned for health reasons; according to a [[priest ]] in the country, his farewell Liturgy was on [[August 28 Aug ]], 2005 [http://forums.catholic.com/showthread.php?p=918457#post918457].
Metropolitan Joseph is currently retired, and living in Peiraius, Greece.
