Isaias I was the Patriarch of Constantinople from 1323 to 1334.
Little is known of his life. He was patriarch during the troubled years of the succession fight between Emperor Andronikos II and his grandson Emperor Andronikos III as sole emperor of the decimated Eastern Roman Empire. As apparently Isaias had been supporting Andronikos III, Andronikos II had Isaias confined, in 1327, to the monastery section of the School of Magnaura, an academic institution in Constantinople.
