Iakovos II of Athens
Iakovos II of Athens, also Jacob II, was the Metropolitan of Athens of the Church of Greece from 1713 to 1734 in Ottoman Turk occupied Greece.
Life
Little is known of the life of Metr. Iakovos other than his recovery from an illness while he was metropolitan of Athens.
Having suffered from lithiasis, Metr. Iakovos founded, in 1720, the Monastery of the Life-giving Fount at the site of a spring on the island of Poros from which a drink of its waters miraculously cured his illness.
