*1931 Sep 14 - Gibran Rimlawi born in Tripoli Mina, Lebanon, to Yacoub Ramlawey and Farfoura (née Ishak).
*1948 - Gibran graduates from Saint Elias Orthodox College, and enters the monastic order under tutelage of Metropolitan Theodosius of Tripoli. Brother Gibran serves as his personal secretary until 1953.
*1959 - Metrop. Elia ordains Dcn Gibran a priest. Fr Gibran continues to teach.
*1962 - Fr Gibran receives graduate diploma in literature from St. Joseph University in Beirut.
::===America===*1962 - Metropolitan [[Anthony (Bashir) of New York|Antony Bashir]] calls Fr Gibran to join the [[Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America|Syrian Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of North America]]; Fr Gibran serves at St. Nicholas Church in Montreal, Canada.
*1963 - [[Archimandrite]] Gibran transferred to St. Mary's Church in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Archim. Gibran continues theological and academic studies.
*1964 - Archim. Gibran receives Bachelor of Theology from [[Christ the Saviour Seminary (Johnstown, Pennsylvania)|Christ the Savior Seminary]]. He begins to teach Logic and Ethics.

*1969 Oct 17 - Archim. Gibran elected Exarch for [[Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and New Zealand|Australia, New Zealand and All Oceania]].
*1969 Oct 22 - Archim. Gibran notified about election. American archdiocese asked to consecrate him. Bishop Gibran ruling bishop for the next 30 years.
*1998 Northern Autumn - Holy Synod of Antioch nominates Bishop Gibran for elevation to rank of Archbishop.
*1999 Jan 16 - Sayidna Gibran reposed of ischaemic heart disease. His death certificate incorrectly records his burial as being in Rookwood Independent Orthodox Lawn Cemetery, Rookwood Sydney. By kind favour of the Greek Archbishop of Australia, on *1999 Jan 22 - By kind favour of [[Archbishop]] [[Stylianos (Harkianakis) of Australia|Stylianos]] ([[Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia|GOA]]) , Bishop Gibran was buried in the bishops section of the Greek Orthodox Cemetery, Rookwood, immediately behind the Greek Orthodox Chapel of Saint Athanasios.  ===Administrative problems surrounding repose===Bishop Gibran's death certificate incorrectly records burial at Rookwood Independent Orthodox Lawn Cemetary; however, burial was done in the bishop's section of the Greek Orthodox Cemetary, Rookwood, immediately behind the Greek Orthodox Chapel of St Athanasios. His headstone incorrectly records his date of death repose as 14 January 1999. A ; however, a coronial inquiry found that he died "on or about 16 January 1999, of ischaemic heart disease".
