His Grace Ezekiel was born in Akrita Kilkis, Macedonia, in 1938. After his graduation from [[Church of Constantinople|Constantinople]]'s [[Theological School of Halki]], he was [[ordination|ordained]] to the [[Deacon|diaconate]] in July and went to Sydney to serve the [[Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia]] around 1960. He was ordained to the [[priest]]hood and assigned to the Greek Orthodox Church in Dubbo, NSW, and soon after to All Saints Church in Belmore, Sydney (~1962).
He was to stay remained at All Saints for 15 years until he was elected [[Titular bishop|Titular Bishop ]] of Dervis on [[March 1|1 March]] 1977, as auxiliary bishop to Archbishop Stylianos. He was assigned to Perth to serve the Church in Western Australia; after three years of service he was assigned to Adelaide. In 1984, Bishop Ezekiel was assigned to Melbourne, where he has served in the Archdiocese ever since.
