His Grace Dionysius (Diachenko) was the Bishop of Pittsburgh of the Russian North American Mission (Metropolia) in mid twentieth century.
Born Dmitry Diachenko (Дмитрий Дьяченко). As an archimandrite he served as Dean of St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary from 1944 to 1947. Then, he was consecrated a bishop and served as Bishop of Pittsburgh.
During the Eighth All-American Sobor of December 1950, he announced the election of Archbishop Leonty as the new metropolitan of the Metropolia after the vote by the Synod of Bishops.
