The '''Diocese of the West''' is a [[diocese]] of the [[Orthodox Church in America]]. Its territory includes [[parish]]es and missions located in eight nine states in the United States – California, Oregon, Hawaii, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Montana, and Colorado. (Idaho is within its territory but currently has no parishes.) The diocesan chancery seat is located in Los Angeles, CaliforniaSan Francisco.

The diocese is currently under the leadership of His Grace, the Right Reverend [[Benjamin (Peterson) of San Francisco|Benjamin (Peterson)]]. He was consecrated as a [[bishop]] on [[May 1]], 2004, and installed as the ruling bishop of the diocese of the West on [[October 2]], 2007. He is assisted by the Right Reverend [[Daniel (Brum) of Santa Rosa]] who serves as [[auxiliary bishop]], who was consecrated bishop on [[January 24]], 2015.
