The Diocese of the Midwest is a diocese of the Orthodox Church in America. It was lately under the leadership of His Eminence, the Most Reverend Job (Osacky), Archbishop of Chicago and the Midwest until his repose in the Lord on December 18, 2009. The diocese is currently vacant pending election of a new hierarch. The Right Reverend Tikhon (Mollard), now serves as the Locum Tenens of the Diocese of the Midwest. Archimandrite Matthias (Moriak) was elected to the vacant see on November 16, 2010 with his consecration and enthronement scheduled for the Spring 2011.
