The curtain in an Orthodox Church is behind the [[iconostasis]] and is closed behind the [[Iconostasis|Royal Doors]].
In some traditions, the curtain is closed at various points throughout the Divine Liturgy, although many parishes - particularly in the western world - have discontinued this practice.
