Category talk:Latin Saints of the Orthodox Patriarchate of Rome

A lot of these saints were never "Latin" in any appreciable sense. Also, it's not clear exactly how much jurisdiction Rome really had in all of these places at this period in history. —Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 19:16, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

My original thought was to group all the pre-schism Western saints in one category/location, and so I lifted this category name from the Orthodox England website. In order to address your points above perhaps we can rename this category to something like "Pre-Schism Saints of the Western Church", or some workable variation? I do not see the option to "Move" a Category page; I take it therefore that a new category (with a more accurate phraseology) will need to be created altogether, followed by moving each of the associated articles one by one. I can do this. I am just wondering about the name to be used for this category - how does "Pre-Schism Saints of the Western Church" sound? Any other ideas?

AFAIK, there is no functionality to move categories, so every article would have to be edited again to make the change.
I suggest "Pre-Schism Western Saints" as a new name. —Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 14:49, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

Delete category

Okay, all the relevant pages have been moved over to the new category, "Pre-Schism Western Saints"; this category here can now be deleted.

Return to "Latin Saints of the Orthodox Patriarchate of Rome" page.
