Hesychasm ((Greek)
- ἡσυχασμός, hesychasmos, from ἡσυχία, hesychia, "stillness, rest, quiet, silence") is an eremitic and mystical tradition of experiential prayer in the Orthodox Church, practised by the Hesychast (Gr. Ἡσυχαστής, hesychastes).
