His Eminence '''Bartholomeos (Katsouris) of Megara and Salamis''' is the [[Metropolitan]] of the [[Metropolis of Megara and Salamis]] under the [[jurisdiction]] of the [[Church of Greece]]. Metr. Bartholomeos has led the metropolis since 1974. The metropolis is located in Attica, Greece between the cities of Athens and Corinth and includes the island of Salamis.

==Life==
Bartholomeos (Katsouris) was born in 1928 in Athens, Greece. His education included studies in law as well as theology. After completing his studies he entered the [[Holy Orders]]. In 1954, he was [[ordination|ordained]] a [[deacon]], followed by his ordination into the [[priest]]hood in 1958. In 1974, Father Bartholomeos was elected to the [[episcopate]] and was [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] Metropolitan of Megara and Salamis on [[May 27]], 1974. He is the author of many studies.
