The Autonomous Orthodox Metropolia of North and South America and the British Isles was an Old Calendarist jurisdiction which was originally comprised of the Archdioceses of America and the British Deanery of the Holy Synod of Milan. It was granted Autonomous status on February 14/27, 2011 through Decree #542 of the Milan Synod.

Ecclesiastical Status

As with other Old Calendarist jurisdictions, the Metropolia is not in communion with any of the mainstream Orthodox Churches. After the release of an official statement from Milan claiming fraternal relations with Moscow, the Metropolia released a clergy confession reiterating its rejection of ecumenism, Sergianism, modernism, and the New Calendar. Communion ceased between the Autonomous Orthodox Metropolia of North and South America and of All the Isles and the Holy Synod of Milan on April 4, 2011. Archbishop John at july 15, 2012 decided to to join with the pseudo-religious group of Raphael Motovilov (criticized selfcalled “Metropolitan" of Moscow and former colonel of the KGB Леонид Семёнович Мотовилов- Russian True Orthodox Church (Raphaelites))

Epicopacy

The Metropolia (The metropolis of permanently deleted from SYNODO Milan with an official act) is headed by two "Bishops":

  • John (Lobue) of New York
  • Bishop FANOURIOUS of Lincoln
