The Metropolis of Servia and Kozani is a metropolis in the New Lands of Greece, under the [[jurisdiction]] of the [[Church of Constantinople|Ecumenical Patriarchate]]. ==Life==
Amvrosios (Giakalis) was born in 1940 in Keramio, on the island of Lesbos, in the Aegean Sea. After he completed his theological education in Greece, Amvrosios continued his postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom, receiving his doctorate degree from University of Cambridge.

He was [[ordination|ordained]] a [[deacon]] in 1967 and a [[priest]] in 1974. In 1988, Father Amvrosios was elected to the [[episcopate]] and [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] Metropolitan of Servia and Kozani. Metr. Amvrosios served the Metropolis of Servia until 2004 when he was succeeded by Metr. Paul (Papalexiou).

Metr. Amvrosios has written many theological books.
