Clement of Ireland

Clement of Ireland (also known as Clemens Scotus) was likely born in Ireland in the first half of the eighth century, and reportedly died on March 20, 818. He went to Gaul in 772, where he became an influential teacher and regent of the Parish school from 775 until his death in Auxerre.
