Sources of consecration
In addition to Aftimios Ofiesh, perhaps Joseph Skureth (consecrated by Metropolitan John (Wendland), exarch of the Moscow Patriarchate in North America) could be considered another one. Just a thought, perhaps others have a different understanding?

- Aftimios was not himself an episcopus vagans (having been consecrated within the Church by canonical authorities), though some of his "successors" were. I've never heard of Joseph Skureth -- who is he? Metr. John, in the little I've read about him, certainly doesn't seem the sort of guy that would go about consecrating bishops in a rogue fashion. —[[User:ASDamick|—Fr. - As they say in American Football, "on further review," it appears that it may have been a different Wendland who consecrated Bishop Joseph Skureth (not that it was Metropolitan John of blessed memory himself who consecrated in a rogue fashion). eddieuny 04:09 (UTC), 01 Jul 2005
