*1128 [[w:Holyrood Abbey|Holyrood Abbey]] (Augustinian) in founded in Scotland.
*1136 [[w:Melrose Abbey|Melrose Abbey]] (Cistercian) is founded in by Cistercian monks, on the request of King David I of Scotland.
