→Wiki Collaboration: Use the sig button ;-)
::I am interested in talking more about this all. Hmm... I guess I like Yahoo Groups for this kind of thing because it's a "push" technology - email comes to me (without tweaking notifications) and the email archives are easily accessible and searchable. Also, because it's private - I think some conversations are better off in private. An email group seems a better genre for this kind of focused discussion.
::Of the things you mentioned about CKB, (1) isn't really an asset in my mind since it makes me think of all the spam battles we've fought on this board, and (2) - 99% uptime is pretty normal nowadays and the Wikia hosting is more of a liability than a plus. The ads bug the heck out of me (esp. for this kind of site) and I find it hard to take a site seriously when it's on that kind of hosted service (maybe a good place to start out, but it's not fully brandable, and can't be configured in a way most relevant to a particular community - no backend access = yikes!). As far as I can tell, the most effective central index now is on Wikipedia's "[[w:Christian wikis|Christian wikis]]" page. We also have a page on [[OrthodoxWiki:Other wikis|other wikis]] which could be fleshed out a bit.:::P.P.S. JOHN: I don't think a ChristianWiki foundation would really work, at least across the Prot/Cath/Orthodox divide... but I think this type of "interest group" could. The attraction would be that it would bring together people like us looking for ways to strategize about managing knowledge within our specific communtiies... Kind of like a working group, but not geared so much at cooperative efforts as at shared learning, trading tips, brainstorming, etc. ME: I think that some content could fit into the picture, too, though. Like Public Domain resources. I've seen so many attempts at publishing the KJV, or Easton's Bible Dictionary, for example...
