Each article dedicated to a particular date ==Matching the DEC==The ''Blackwell Dictionary of Eastern Christianity'' (e.g., [[February 1]]DEC) is formatted essentially as before, but the feast listing in it is now going to be loaded as a template fantastic resource. A select list has been copied (e.g., including the vast majority of articles) onto '''[[TemplateOrthodoxWiki:February 1Articles from the DEC|this page]])'''. So the article It is strongly suggested that those looking for [[February 1]] should look like thissomething to work on try starting here, as it will help to allay systemic bias and make OrthodoxWiki more complete. {{User:ASDamick/sig}}

The template, however, is a little more complex. It will include a list of the feasts, along with an image. Please always make sure to include an image&mdash; if we don't have one for a saint of that day, you can either upload one and use it, or substitute an image of our Lord or Lady (such as [http://www.orthodoxwiki.org/Image:Pantokrator of Sinai.jpg Image:Pantokrator of Sinai.jpg]) or [http://www.orthodoxwiki.org/Image:Theotokos_of_Vladimir.jpg Image:Theotokos of Vladimir.jpg]). The tamplate for [[Template:February 1]] should look like this:
<pre><nowiki><div style="float:right;margin-left:1em">= Importing images ==Hello everybody, if you would like to help, we could definitely use your assistance importing images. It has to be done correctly though, please see [[ImageOrthodoxWiki:Brigid.jpg|100px|St. Brigid of KildairePhoto galleries]]</div>Martyr Tryphon to get an idea of Syria; Martyr Perpetua of Carthage and her four companions; Basil the Confessor, archbishop of Thessalonika; New-martyr Anastasios of Anaplos; Venerable David and Simeon; Venerable [[Brigid of Kildaire]]</nowiki><what we're trying to accomplish. Thanks! {{User:FrJohn/pre>sig}}
Everything about that formatting is vital to the scheme, including the list of saints right up next to that last <nowiki></div></nowiki> tag, and the sizing of the image at 100px. Make sure ''not'' to add in any other tags in the image link. :Also be sure to make the list of saints one continuous line '''without breaks'''see [[OrthodoxWiki:Images for import|Images for import]].[[User:Joe Rodgers|Joe]] 2006-07-12

== Evangelicalism ==
Friends - today I started an article about [[evangelicalism]]. There is a ''lot'' that still needs to be added. Please feel free to help out with this article. What is most needed, I think, is the section on Orthodox responses to evangelical positions. - [[User:Joffridus|Geoff]]
== [[Introduction to Orthodox Christianity]] ==
Please make some suggestions at the [[Template_talk:Orthodoxchristianity|Talk page]] for the upcoming [[Template:Orthodoxchristianity|series]] on an [[Introduction to Orthodox Christianity]].
==Request for major reworking: [[Filioque]]Witnessing Orthodoxy ==I just wrote [[FilioqueWitness|this article on witnessing Orthodoxy]] could use some serious . I need the help of people experienced/educated in witnessing the Orthodox faith to non and ex believers to helpmake this into a very informative article. I initially imported it from Wikipedia, but it's so convoluted and disorganized have posted up a very rough work that it's really no good. --I wanted to suggest basing this on at [[Userhttp:ASDamick|Rdr//orthodoxwitness.wikispaces. Andreworg/]] 12:10, 2 Feb 2005 (CST)please feel free to use that if you wish.
== Vestments ==
We need someone(s) to donate some time to taking pictures of the various [[vestments]] used. I think it would be good to show what they look like when they are not in use and when they are in use. Now that I am on the topic, why not dedicate a month to a particular topic or category for picture farming. For instance, all of us could take pictures of vestments and their use in the month of January. In February we could all take pictures of our church's icons. March could be dedicated to blah, etc. Just a thought [[User:Joe Rodgers|Joe]]
==Old Calendar Greek Orthodox==
Can anyone tell me about the '''"CHRISTIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH OF HELLAS OF THE ORIGINAL GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH"''' ? Thank you. And, sorry it is a mouthful. My specific interest relates to Archbishop MAXIMUS who, in November 2003 in Athens, consecrated HENRY PAUL KONTOR as a metropolitan bishop on behalf of the Holy Synod of the COCHOGOC -- according to the website of Apostolic Congress of Great Britain. I understand that the COCHOGOC is (was ?) an Old Calendar church. From [[User:Diakonias|Diakonias]] 12:46, January 29, 2014 (PST). Posted on January 29, 2014.

UPDATE: I think that (by further searching on the Web) I have now answered my own question. It seems that this Maximus or Maximos is Maximos Valliantos, sometime metropolitan of Kefalonia (Cephalonia) who on 7th January 1995 became leader of the tiny "Auxentian" old calendar Greek Orthodox jurisdiction, in succession to Auxentios Pastras who had died (reposed) in 1995. Auxentios Patras was leader of the "Florinite" old calendarists. The "Auxentians" are those who remained loyal to Auxentios after he was deposed in 1986. There is a page on Orthodoxwiki called "Auxentios synod". From [[User:Diakonias|Diakonias]] 14.1:14, October 4, 2014
