Apparently that both the Diocese of Harbin along with the Diocese of Beijing were formed in 1922 under ROCOR, and it was not until 1945 with the arrival of the Soviet army that the Moscow Patriarchate took control of Harbin Diocese (around that time, ROCOR then set up in the Shanghai Diocese under Metropolitan John Maximovitch).
