The archdiocese encompasses communities in both Syria and Turkey. The area in northwestern Syria includes the cities of Aleppo, Idleb, and Tabaka which is a new city near the ancient town of Raqqa on the left bank of the Euphrates River. The area in Turkey includes the ancient cities of Antioch, now Antakya, and Alexandretta, now Iskenderun.<br />
