Bishop]] in Damascus and baptized the [[Apostle Paul]]. Becuase of his fearless preaching he was stoned to death in the city of Eleutheropolis. His relics were returned to Damascus, then later translated to [[Constatninople]]. The Church remembers St. Ananias on [[October 1]]. Scriptural references: [[Acts]] 9:10-17.
