== Early life ==
Bitomir Prodanov was born into the family George (Ђорђе) and Jelka (Јелка) Prodanov, on [[August 24]], 1890, in the village of Backo Petrovo Selo in then the Austria-Hungary Empire. In 1901, he completed his primary education in Backo Petrovo Selo. Bitomir and then entered the Grand Serbian Orthodox Gymnasium in Novi Sad from which he graduated in 1909. He continued his higher education in the Serbian Orthodox Theology School in Sremski Karlovci, graduating in 1913. He then returned for a several months to Backo Petrovo Selo as a teacher. On [[June 1]], 1917, Bishop Georgije (Letić) of Temišvar appointed him consistorial subnotary for the [[Diocese]] of Temišvar .
He was born as Vitomir (Bитомир) into the family Đorđe(Ђорђе) and Jelka (Јелка), On [[August 24]][[189018]], in Bačko Petrovo Selo. He finished primary school in his birthplace 1901. He graduated Grand Serbian Orthodox Gimnasium in Novi Sad 1909. He continued his education in Serbian Orthodox Theology School in Sremski Karlovci. He graduated 1913. He was teacher in his birthplace couple months. Bishop of Temišvar Georgije (Letić) apointed him as consistorial subnaotarius of Diocese of Temišvar [[June 1]]1917, Bitomir took [[1917monasticism|monastic]]. He took monastic vows in Bezdin Monastery before [[August 18Archimandrite]]Issac ((Došen) and was given the name Vicentius. He was [[August 5,ordination|ordain]]Old Style))in front of ed a [[Archimandritedeacon]] Isak (Došen).He is ordain deacon on [[September 12]], by Bishop Bp. Georgije. He is transfered In 1919, Dn. Vicentius was transferred to the post of consistorial notarius notary of the Diocese of Bačka 1919. He was raised to ranks the dignity of [[protodeacon ]] and archideaconthen [[archdeacon]].From 1921- to 1932 he was served as secretary of Executive Board the executive board of [[monastery|monasteries ]] in Karlovci MetropolitenateMetropolitanate.He During this time he continued his education at the Philosophical Faculty in Belgrade and graduated 1929 on group for studying National and Byzantine History.He is ordain hieromonk graduated in 1929. On [[October 18/31]], 1929 , Dn. Vicentius was ordained a hieromonk and , then on [[December 3]], he was raised to the rank of arcimandrite November 20/December 3archimandrite. He is  In 1932, Archim. Vicentius was elected as Secretary General of the Sentence [[Synod ]] of the Serbian Orthodox Church 1932. He remained in this dutz until he is elested position for Vicarius only a short time before he was elected [[vicar]] [[bishop ]] of Marča, June 21/on [[July 4]], 1932. He is ordain was [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] by Patriarch Varnava and bishops , assisted by Bps. Irinej of Bačka, Serafim of Raška and Prizren, Sava of Srem , and [[Platon of Banja Luka|Platon]] of Moravice.
== As Bishop ==
He Bp. Vicentius remained vicarius bishop a vicar until 1939. He when he was elected Bishop of Zletovo and Strumica. He also In 1940, he was given administration also assigned as administrator of the Diocese of Ohrid and Bitola 1940. He After the Germans and Bulgarians occupied the diocese in 1941, he was exiled from Zletovo from by Bulgarian faschistsfascists. After war comunist World War II, the Communist regime didn't alowed did not allow him to return. Comunist from exile as the Communists wanted to creat uncanonical create a Macedonian Orthodox Churchseparate from the Church of Serbia. From 1947 to 1950, Bp. He Vicentius was administrator of Diocese of Žiča 1947-1951 by wish , during the absence of St. Nikolaj [[Nikolai Velimirovic|Nikolai]] and of the Diocese of Srem 1947-1951.
== As Patriarch ==
Bishop Vikentije Bp. Vicentius was elected Patriarch of Serbia on [[July 1/14]], 1950. He visited several other national local churches in order to strenght strengthen ties that had been weakened during the war. He put placed enormous energy into trying to resolve the problem of Pension Security fonds funds for priests[[priest]]s of the patriarchate. Patriarch Vikentije didnćt want Patr. Vicentius was strongly opposed to aprove foundation the splitting of the Serbian church and the creation of so called a Macedonian Church. He was eminent a historian and a member of the Society of Historians of Vojvodina. He also was editor-in-cheef chief of their gazzeteits gazette.He Patr. Vicentius died under misterious circumstenceson [[July 5]], 1958 under mysterious circumstances after a session of Holy the holy assembly of Bishops. Holy Assembly bishops at which the assembly rejected sugestions of suggestions from the communist regime to aprove fondation approve the establishment of a Macedonian church. However his death seamed not to be natoral.He died July 5, 1958.His remains are was buried in the tomb of Metropoliten Metr. Mihajlo in the [[Cathedral ]] Church of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel in BeogradBelgrade.
