: Aftimios was not himself an ''episcopus vagans'' (having been consecrated within the Church by canonical authorities), though some of his "successors" were. I've never heard of Joseph Skureth -- who is he? Metr. John, in the little I've read about him, certainly doesn't seem the sort of guy that would go about consecrating bishops in a rogue fashion. &mdash;[[User:ASDamick|{{User<font color="blue"><b><i>Dcn. ::As they say in American Football, "on further review," it appears that it may have been a different Wendland who consecrated Bishop Joseph Skureth (not that it was Metropolitan John of blessed memory himself who consecrated in a rogue fashion). For this reason (and others) it is good to have these discussion pages. [[user:eddieuny|eddieuny]] 04:10 (UTC), 01 Jul 2005
