The '''Holy Transfiguration Monastery''' is a [[monasticism|monastic]] community for [[monk|men]] under the [[Diocese of Australia and New Zealand (ROCOR)|Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia]]. Originally established as a skete under the [[omophorion]] of His Eminence Archbishop [[Paul (Pavlov) of Sydney|Paul of Sydney]], it has since been made a monastery, all the while under the abbacy of [[Archimandrite]] [[Alexis (Rosentool)|Alexis]]. He is an experienced iconographer, having studied under Archimandrite [[Kyprian (Pyzhov)]], completing the fresco on the ceiling of the Nativity of St John the Forerunner Church, Canberra.
