'''Alexander of Hierapolis''', (Greek: Ἀλέξανδρος), was a [[bishop]] of Hierapolis in Phrygia, Asia Minor, during the mid third century. Little is known of his life. Alexander was one of a succession of ten bishops of Hierapolis. He was the author of a book titled ''On the new things introduced by Christ into the world'' (Greek: τί καινὸν εἰσήνεγκε Χριστός εἰς τὸν κόσμον. κεφ. θ') that is no longer extant.
