Metropoliten Vasilije (Popović) (in serbian Митрополит Василије (Поповић)) was second Metropoliten of Banja Luka (1907-1937) Holy Synod of Ecumenical Patriarchate elected him for Metropoliten of Banja luka 1907. He was orained by Archbishop of Sarajevo and Metropoliten of Dabro-Bosna Evgenije, who was his predccessor at see of Banja Luka, Metropoliten of Hercegovina (later of Dabro-Bosna) St. Petar, and Metropoliten of Zvornik-Tuzla (later of Vršac) Ilarion. He joined to Serbian Orthodox Churc 1920, with his flock. Ecumenical Patriarch aproved this 1922. Metropoliten Vasilije died 1937. His relicts are in Catedral Chuch of Holy Trinity in Banja Luka.
