My suspicion, though, is that there isn't much one could do in an encyclopedia article along these lines, and I really have no idea what the potential legal pitfalls are.  I do know that the CoS has been really quite nasty to those who have criticized them online.  &mdash;[[User:ASDamick|<font color="blue"><b><i>Dcn. Welcome to OrthodoxWiki!

Hello, Mike, and welcome to OrthodoxWiki!

Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Please note that OrthodoxWiki is always in development, so not everything works quite right yet. You can help, though!

The result is a true consensus product, with every interested editor contributing his own knowledge and writing skills. As such, when you feel that criticism of an article is warranted, we encourage you to join in and fix it! Don't worry about breaking anything or doing something wrong—the other editors here are happy to jump in and help you learn.

Welcome!

Just a note to say welcome Mike! Glad you're here. I appreciate your work on your user page. I hope you don't mind that I've added your picture to the OrthodoxWiki:User_galleryFrJohn (talk)

Image licenses

Just so you know, when using one of the party-specific image licenses, it's not necessary to include one of the generic ones, as well. For instance, if Template:Skete.com is used, then Template:Limited is not necessary. Using only one will help keep confusion to a minimum. —Dcn. Andrew talk random contribs 15:27, June 3, 2006 (CDT)

IRC Channel

Check out OrthodoxWiki:Chat. There's an IRC channel sponsored by User:Joe Rodgers; I'm not sure how active it is, but I've used it once. —magda (talk) 07:33, June 8, 2006 (CDT)

Article on Scientology

I don't see why not. But it needs to meet the guidelines for articles in Category:Non-Orthodox, which is to say, it should be able to be subtitled "An Orthodox Christian critique of Scientology" and/or "Relations between Scientology and the Orthodox Church" in terms of its content.

My suspicion, though, is that there isn't much one could do in an encyclopedia article along these lines, and I really have no idea what the potential legal pitfalls are. I do know that the CoS has been really quite nasty to those who have criticized them online. —Dcn. Andrew talk random contribs 11:12, July 14, 2006 (CDT)
