I think you will find most of the information for importing from Wikipedia in the article OrthodoxWiki:Style Manual on the Main Page under Starting points. However, most articles from Wikipedia need editing, sometime rather serious editing, for a number of reasons. These included changing the point of view (POV) which is different on Orthodoxwiki from that of Wikipedia, different styles in linking especially as Orthodoxwiki links to different style dates as compared to Wikipedia and other style points. I hope this helps you, and welcome to Orthodoxwiki. Wsk 00:07, September 2, 2011 (UTC)

:Thank you very much for your reply. In fact I'm not going to import Wikipedia text, it worth correcting but not importing, I agree. I want to use Wikimedia images - it is legal AFAIK. Unfortunately I don't know how to do this, technically. {:Style Manual} doesn't contain an answer for my question. B7elijah 06:45, September 2, 2011 (UTC)

Importing from Wikipedia

Thank you very much for your reply.
Frankly, when I have copied images from Wikipedia I have use a "brute" force method of copying the image then separately copying the source information and then use the image and the information to fill in the information outlined in the Orthodoxwiki upload file. Perhaps someone who is more cognizant of software techniques than I am may have a better approach. Wsk 21:21, September 2, 2011 (UTC)
