Welcome to OrthodoxWiki!
Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Please note that OrthodoxWiki is always in development, so not everything works quite right yet. You can help, though!
OrthodoxWiki is a community-edited encyclopedia of Orthodox Christianity. Articles are created and edited by our members, and so everything that we do here is subject to review and revision. The result is a true consensus product, with every interested editor contributing his own knowledge and writing skills. As such, when you feel that criticism of an article is warranted, we encourage you to join in and fix it! Don't worry about breaking anything or doing something wrong—the other editors here are happy to jump in and help you learn.

Ari, thank you for your willingness to contribute here. I hope you do not take this the wrong way, but I feel like the content of the page you recently created, E-vangelism does not really fit here. You may wish to post something about this concept under our regular evangelicalism page. Another sysop will probably be checking on this edit I make, so please know that I have the best of intentions and that this will not be my decision only. Joe 2 Jan 2006
- Ari and Joe, I had the same thought as Joe when reviewing the E-vangelism entry. —Dcn. David talk contribs 22:21, January 2, 2006 (CST)
- Ditto. Unless there's a really convincing argument in favor of its specific appropriateness for OrthodoxWiki, I'll be deleting it in the next day or so. —Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 22:42, January 2, 2006 (CST)
For the e-vangelism page hte entry is not refering to the evangelical church movement. It is making reference to the literal meaning of the word. Message to DcnDavid I have made a new format for the entry if you want to view it. (This probably meets the style and content better).
An e-vangelist is a person who uses the Internet to present the Christian gospel message to the world. == Biblical Role == The role of an evangelist or e-vangelist in conjunction with the apostles, prophets, pastors and teachers is described in Ephesians 4:11-13 "11He is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ, 13until we come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ.
