Silouan(Silala)Vea was born in Tonga Is on 6th March 1969 son of Rev Loloma and Vea of Veitongo. He went to Tailulu College 1982-1985, he became a Musician for the Royal Corps also attend 'Apifo'ou College at the same year 1986.In 1987 he attended at the School of Music Foundation Course Atenisi University. In 1992 completed Disciples Training School at University of the Nation Tonga and completed studies at School of Frontier Mission and Slavic Cross-Culture in January 1993.

On 27th February 1993 married to Ms Talamasina Paletu'a United Methodist Church Portland Oregon USA, On 20th March 1993 Siouan and Talamasina became the first Tongan to serve as a missionary in Russia, under the Slavic Ministry, a great achievement that was recognized by the King of Tonga HM King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV and the Nation. they had late Taufa-Houma-Faleono(4months)Moses born 7th 1996 Box Hill Melbourne, Luke Christopher born 1st September 2001,Dandenong Melbourne and 27th 2005 Divorce Talamasina.

Silouan left the Mission Field in 1995, then 1996-1999 he became a Student Worker with the Chaplain of University of Kent. On 4th November 2006 Silouan remarried to Ms Katerina Zotalis Greek born in Melbourne.

On 24th September 2009 Silala baptise with a new orthodox name Silouan after Saint Silouan of Mount Athos, first Tongan become Orthodox and Mission Coordinator for the Tongan Orthodox Mission. In 2013 Silouan Vea Mission come under His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilochios of New Zealand and Most Honourable Exarch of Oceania.
