Pistevo is currently in a state of reduced activity on OrthodoxWiki, for an indeterminate period of time.
His main work is in outlining improvements and changing featured
articles, rather than the biographies he loves to write about.
He still checks in daily, so please feel free to leave him messages on his talk page

my blog is αλλά αμαρτωλούς εις μετάνοιαν (but sinners to repentance or but sinners to a complete turnaround), where you can find out more about me. in a fairly diving-in-the-deep-end kinda way. I also have a userpage with a lot of userboxes on Wikipedia.

i am an Orthodox residing in australia, hence my interest in the Church in australia and its near neighbours. noticing the lack of information about Orthodoxy in australia on OrthodoxWiki, i decided that the situation wasn't going to improve without personally doing something about it. A similar motivation was involved in adopting the featured articles (particularly as I seem to have exhausted most available information about Australasia), and in deciding to write up important biographies, particularly of ascetics (mainly because those are available to me).

On 14/July/05, i was made a sysop of OrthodoxWiki; while being sysop of OrthodoxWiki, special attention has been given to my pet topic of Orthodoxy in Australasia. The greatest difficulties in this task are the ease of being misinterpreted, dealing with objections that arise when people want an unreasonable exception from OW rules and regulations, and deciding what information fits the criteria of an Orthodox encyclopedia.

I have had three articles that I began, and/or largely wrote, made into feature articles: Orthodoxy in Australasia (15 July 2005, since split into Orthodoxy in Australia and Orthodoxy in New Zealand due to excess size), St Irene Chrysovalantou (28 April 2006) and Elder Joseph the Hesychast (4 November 2006). A list of my contributions can be found here. I have made 2449 edits on OrthodoxWiki (at July 26, 2006), including 195 template edits, indicating my construction of a number of templates for use in Australasia and Oceania.
