Jim Forest is a writer and editor, American-born but living in Holland since 1977. His most recent books include Praying With Icons; The Ladder of the Beatitudes; Silent as a Stone, and The Road to Emmaus: Pilgrimage as a Way of Life. He is international secretary of the Orthodox Peace Fellowship and editor of its quarterly journal, In Communion <[1]>.
