I spent much of my youth searching through religions and philosophies from all around the world. My search came to an end when I read ''The Orthodox Church by Timothy Ware'' [now Bishop Kallistos (Ware)]. I was moved by the stories of the Saints. And found all the answers to the questions I had been longing for an answer to for so long, in the faith of Orthodoxy.

I try to keep up with my studying of the scriptures, and reading the lives and writings of the Saints. I also serve in the choir with my beautiful wife at my Parish. I was born Andrew James Hughes in Canada to a Swedish/English father and a Greek mother.

I was not baptized, or raised for that matter in any Faith, until I was baptized in the Orthodox Church at the age of Seventeen.

I spent much of my youth searching through religions and philosophies from all around the world. My search came to an end when I read The Orthodox Church by Timothy Ware [now Bishop Kallistos (Ware)]. I was moved by the stories of the Saints. And found all the answers to the questions I had been longing for an answer to for so long, in the faith of Orthodoxy.

I try to keep up with my studying of the scriptures, and reading the lives and writings of the Saints. I also serve in the choir with my beautiful wife at our parish. I am not sure what the future holds for me, I just hope I can serve God in some capacity, as small as that may be for this unworthy sinner.
