Very Rev. Dr. Themistocles Adamopoulo is an archimandrite of the Orthodox Church and a specialist in New Testament history. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, and raised in Melbourne, Australia, his many qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Theological Studies from the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology (Brookline, Massachusetts), a Master of Theology from the Princeton Divinity School, and a PhD from Brown University, where he completed a dissertation on the idea of endurance from Homeric times to the writings of the apostle Paul.

He has taught at the University of Sydney, Macquarie University, and St Andrew's Greek Orthodox Theological College in Sydney (Australia), and currently serves in the Orthodox Church in Kenya, where he has established a major philanthropic and educational program (for further details, go to http://www.orthodox.asn.au/).
