Why is Zosima labeled an Egyptian saint? While it is true that he met Mary of Egypt in the Egyptian desert, this does not necessarily indicate that he himself was an Egyptian. Further, the other sources I have encountered on Zosima all claim that he came from Palestine rather than from Egypt. Does anyone know what is going on here?
