+ Christophoros

Local records relating to his deposition and exile are held in the Archives of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia.

Access is severely restricted.

I'd not be surprised either way - this would explain the lack of picture on the website, for example. But, this being an encyclopedia, we can only work with verifiable information. --— by Pιsτévο talk complaints at 09:19, May 7, 2006 (CDT)

There was a fair bit in the Daily Telegraph at the time, and a little bit in the Sydney Morning Herald. The SMH said he "practised the Greek vice". The Telegraph said he was deposed for "Gross Depravity".

The Greek community in Australia was in uproar over his misbehaviour at the time and just about unanimously demanded his deposition.

Clippings from the relevant newspapers formed part of an appendix in an unpublished Masters(Honours) thesis in Sydney in 1998.

The newspaper articles should still be available from the newspapers.

Clever, though ironic, euphemism. I'll change any articles that need it. --— by Pιsτévο talk complaints at 10:26, May 7, 2006 (CDT)

Small Jurisdiction

I think the Moscow Patriarchate is hardly a "small jurisdiction". I also think its entry into Australia where ROCOR already had a strong presence is quite significant. I did not delete the heading about the Theological School, so I also think your comments about the Theological School are irrelevant in this context.

But a matter for you of course.
