Dogmatic and Systematic Theology

I deleted the phrase saying thst scholastic theology is also known as dogmatic or systematic theology, as that is inaccurate. Scholastic theology refers to the theological method/system of Scholasticism, which dates to AD 1100-1500 in the West. There is nothing intrinsically un-Orthodox about the terms "dogmatic theology" (which is the title of Fr John Romanides' three-volume work on the subject) nor even "systematic theology," a term that does not imply any particular approach to Christian theology. --Fr Lev 08:54, November 6, 2007 (PST)

I'm so glad you clarified that. I was wading through all these sources, mostly Catholic, trying to find a definition... —magda (talk) 12:07, November 6, 2007 (PST)
