Talk:Psalm 136

Given that the Eastern Orthodox Church follows the Greek numbering of the Psalms, I think we should make that the default reference. In other words, the article should refer to the Psalm by its Greek number and then give the Hebrew numbering parenthetically. --Fr Lev 00:06, February 25, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I agree with you .. we should refer to the LXX numbering (notice how I avoid the term Greek :D ) ... I was confused slightly with the unmbering so feel free to modify and improve this article. I just thought, given this Psalm is contreversial and is quite relevant to us liturgicaly this week it should have an article. Notice how I have a link to Father Thomas Hopko ... this is because the Orthodox church clearly has a different understanding of this Psalm to the rest of the world (ie. Wikipedia). I was hoping that someone more qualified than me could modify the content and elaborate based on Orthodox POV.!! Vasiliki 23:03, February 25, 2009 (UTC)
