St. Damian the Monk is commemorated by the Greek Orthodox church [[February 14]] with a secondary commemoration date of [[February 23]]. In many english web pages, they will only list the later date; which is to only commemorate him on [[February 23]]; this is technically incorrect. Many Synaxaristes mention the commemoration day as February 23 however the official commemoration date set by the [[Church of Greece]] is in fact [[February 14]].
