This article is a first attempt at approaching a primarily Protestant theological concept from an Orthodox perspective. I stumbled upon a blogger who is part of the Reformed Protestant tradition, and he was criticizing OrthodoxWiki for the lack of an article on "Justification." Since this term is at the heart of Protestant theology (and many Protestants use this term as the starting point for all conversations about theology), I thought that this article would be of benefit to Orthodox and non-Orthodox alike. This article will likely be beneficial to those Orthodox in Western countries and those in Orthodox countries where Protestant mission activity is prevalent.

The term justification does appear in Orthodox liturgical texts and the Holy Scriptures, and it is therefore part of the Orthodox tradition and deserving of some treatment/discussion. Brobichau
