The new Patriarch Theophilus III is till struggling to get recognised by the Israeli government [http://www.asianews.it/view.php?l=en&art=4473]. "In everyday life, without a letter of recognition by the Government, many private and public bodies  - for example, banks, companies, but also the land registry and various Government agencies - often refuse to deal with the Patriarch in his capacity of legal representative of the corporation he heads."

According to Archbishop Aristarchos in a report by AsiaNews, the former patriarch "is in his room and working peacefully" [1]. The new Patriarch Theophilus III is till struggling to get recognised by the Israeli government [2].
