Revision as of 20:31, July 30, 2008

There is no diocese of Ramen --- given that this is a noodle, I thought this name for the diocese was unlikely. The english version of the website says there are three dioceses in Tokyo, Kyoto and Sendai. Also, Sendai is the seat of the diocese of Eastern Japan. Following is the source:

I corrected the same section. Bishopric see in Kyoto has been vacant since 1999.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cat68 (talkcontribs) .

additional information?

After WW2, there are something not mentioned yet on the article. See

I am not familiar with this issue and incapable to add materials. Someone who is familiar with both Church of Russa and Japan add proper information! --Cat68 01:52, February 16, 2007 (PST)

Bishop of Kyoto

The website of Church of Japan suggested the see in Kyoto has been vacant for many years[1]. After Bp. Sergey, described as "first appointed nominally to Bishop of Kyoto, there is no mention to its bishops but a list of priest appointed to Kyoto is provided. It could be referred as "vacant"? --Cat68 22:33, February 17, 2007 (PST)

Nicholas Saiama

I removed the note concerning Abp. Nicholas quoted here:

An article on Abp Nicholas (Saiama) is among the Bishop articles that is based on an article about his life on http://www.pravoslavie.ru/cgi-bin/sykon/client/display.pl?sid=773&did=2121.

His biography does not mention any title of Kyoto or Tokyo and other than attending the Tokyo Seminary does not seem to have had any direct association with the Church of Japan other than as Moscow's representative.Wsk 18:15, July 30, 2008 (UTC)
