Talk:Chrysostomos (Kalafatis) of Smyrna

Most of the proof edits improve the article tremendously. However, I've changed back two instances in the Horton and Dobkin quotations. These are direct quotes from those sources and should be left as rendered. (I have the Dobkin book on my shelf and have looked at Horton on the web, so I can verify that the quotations are as they rendered them in the original.)

I don't want to be a completely obnoxious nit-picker, so I won't dispute "he was elected metropolitan of Smyrna" vs. "Metropolitan of Smyrna." But my take is that "Metropolitan of Smyrna" is a particular office, just as one wouldn't say "prince of Wales." Paterakis 22:24, February 23, 2007 (PST)

Yup, you have me on those points. Apparently, in any specific title (eg the President of the United States, the Bishop of Placename) the office, as well as the place, should be capitalized, as per wikipedia: [1]. Thanks so much. I can't believe I've been getting that wrong. Gabriela 20:54, February 24, 2007 (PST)
