Life

Bp. Nektarios was born in Larnaca, on the southern coast of Cyprus, on January 15, 1969. After completing his education locally, he studied theology at the University of Thessalonica in Greece. Having entered the monastic life, he was ordained a deacon in 1996 at Ayios Georgios Kontos Monastery. In 1998, he was ordained to the priesthood at Ayios Georgios of Mavrovouni Monastery by Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Kition.
