The Higher Ecclesiastical Schools of Greece are post secondary schools within the Tertiary (collegiate) Public Education Systems of the nation of Greece that provide an theological education for the Orthodox clergy in Greece. These schools include

  • Ecclesiastical Academy of Athens

  • Ecclesiastical Academy of Thessaloniki[1]
  • Ecclesiastical Academy of Vellas[2]
  • Ecclesiastical Academy of Crete

The Higher Ecclesiastical Schools of Greece are post secondary schools for the theological education of students seeking an advanced theological education leading to entry into the Holy Orders of the Orthodox Christian Church. These schools are part of the Greek Tertiary Public Education System and are supervised by the Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs of the government of Greece. These academies function under local school boards that are presided over by Orthodox hierarchs.
