Have you ever noticed a custom signature like the one Rdr. Andrew uses on discussion pages? If you want to know how to do it, here's how:
- Go to your user page. It should be something like http://www.orthodoxwiki.org/User:Name, where Name is your username
- Create an article by typing /sig after your user name in your browser's address bar. For example: http://www.orthodoxwiki.org/User:Name/sig
- This should prompt you to create a new article User:Name/sig
- You can start the article by clicking on the link that says something like Start the Name/sig article. In reality, you can call the article anything you like
- Copy and/or modify this sample custom signature or view other's custom signatures for ideas (e.g. Rdr. Andrew's or Joe Rodger's):
- Paste your modified version in your /sig article and save the page
- Go to your preferences page
- Under User data, look for the box that say's "Your nickname (for signatures):"
- Type {{User:Name/sig}} in that box, check the box that reads "Raw signatures (without automatic link)," and save your preferences
- Now whenever you are talking on a discussion page and press the signature button on the editing bar, it will have your custom signature on it
