The Annunciation (Evangelismos, Ευαγγελισμός): The Archangel Gabriel proclaims the Good News of the Savior to the Theotokos

An evangelist is one who brings the Good News of Our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ. Evangelists who bring the Gospel to another nation or culture are known as missionaries.

Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are the Four Evangelists who wrote the apostolic Gospels.
