Eritrea, along with Ethiopia, Djibouti and Somalia is under the jurisdiction of the Holy Archdiocese of Aksum of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and all Africa.
Eritrea is also shared with the Oriental Orthodox church who have established the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church in this region.
