His Grace Eirinaios (Tsourounakis) of San Francisco was the second Bishop of San Francisco of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North and South America, under the jurisdiction of the Church of Constantinople, serving from 1941 to 1944.

Life

Prior to his arrival in the United States of America, Father Eirinaios had been Dean of the Theological Seminary of Crete. In the United States, he served parishes in Gary, Indiana and, in 1930, at St. Andrews Church in Chicago[1], Illinois before becoming the priest at Annunciation Church in New York City in 1940.

In January 1941, Archimandrite Eirinaios was consecrated Bishop of San Francisco, the second bishop of the Greek Archdiocese to serve the San Francisco see. He served in San Francisco until 1944.
